"I have a rendezvous with death ... and I to my pledged word am true ... I shall not fail, that rendezvous." - Alan Seeger

Welcome to the Week in Week in Review podcast!

Wow ... I've been through the wringer the week emotionally and psychologically. Literally, from death ... to life. I discuss this, and matters regarding oil inflation in the following podcast ...

Interesting as always Dan...

Not to belabor the whole death thing, but your ramblings really struck a chord with me today. When your life has not yet been touched by death or tragedy it's very easy to have a callous attitude toward life. This year I lost a college friend to melanoma (33 yrs old, two kids), my parents got in a car accident, and another family member suffered a stroke. It made me think about my own mortality for the first time. It's a tough pill to swallow, that's for sure, and I definitely have a different outlook on life. Those thoughts you kept coming back to... I find myself thinking along very similar lines some days.

On a happier note... I'll have to keep an eye open for some of your women of finance. I don't follow many other traders so I'm not sure who you're referring to. Though Heather McRae comes to mind, I haven't forgotten her interview with Matt Davio that you posted in the twitter stream. She's a cutie!

Oh wow, Dave, yeah ... you've been the ringer ... and all in one year. My condolences mate. And I would agree ... it changes everything. I lost a little brother when I was 15 (I think I may have said 16 in the podcast, but it was actually 15). It changed everything about my life from that moment on. And then last year, Waynes murder.

It's something that no matter how much time passes ... my mind returns to from time to time.

Yeah, Heather's a cutie. I don't know, I was just going through my Facebook page, and reviewing some of the folks who followed me, what background they were from.

Quite a few cuties in there.

:^)
